I want to tell you about an investigator we have, she´s amazing. My first day here in my new sector we were on our way to an appointment, and randomly knocked a door. It went just the same as all contacts, that she didn´t have time, but somehow I got her to say that we can come back the next week. Well we did, she was in front of her house, but she was busy, and taken by suprise that we came, she said, that she had forgotten about our visit and said to come back in half an hour. So we went to a member´s house quickly and returned, expecting to find she had left the house, but she was there, and ready for us. We came in, got to know her and taught her about Life eternal, and the Book of Mormon, it was an awesome lesson. She said she´d pray to know if it´s a true, and read it as she always does with the bible, just open it up and read. She said the bible always gave her hope and energy she needed when she does that, so I´ll give this book a try. Well we came back the next week for our cita, with a member with us, we came in talked with her a little, she had made a Polar shirt for elder Enamorado because the kid is always freezing cold, (straight from Honduras haha) and when we asked about her prayers, she said yes i prayed, did you read? she said, well yes i read, and i want to share with you these scriptures. The first on was in Mosiah 4:8, I only have my spanish scriptures with me so ill just briefly describe what it says, ´That this is how salvation comes. And there is now other Salvation apart from this that he has said, nor other conditions by which man can be saved, only for those words which he has spoken.´ Something like that in english. after she read it to us the first time she just looked at me like, do ya get it? to be honest i didn't, so she read it again, and with the same look after she read it i could return the look saying, Guess you know what you´ve gotta do! haha She´s hilarious, Then shared with us Alma 32:1, which roughly says "And it came to pass that they left and began to preach to the people the word of God, entering into their synagoges and into their houses, yea, and preached the word in their streets." something like that. That was an answer to her question why we do what we do, she had a lot of questions about us before but now she knows that this is what god has commanded us to do. She then came to church this week, what a woman! perfect example of recieving revelation and answers from god, because she prayed she could know the truth, then went to work and opened the book of mormon to read it and find out. When we asked if she prayed it was just a yeah i prayed, and then i read. haha how neat is that? She has a 12 year old son, she´s raised him single because her husband lives in Spain. His name is Adrain, easily the coolest kid ever. Seriously he´s a little stud, he listens, understands, asks questions, and then he reads on his own, and actually understands a lot of it! he read 1 nephi 3, pretty much the whole chapter and recited it all back to us, he´s the bomb. He looks like an American kid too, kinda like Justin Beiber haha but really the kid is a stud.
